It’s surprisingly affordable to set yourself up to a healthy supply of Dole Whip. First you’ll need a way to make soft serve ice cream. This Cuisinart model from Amazon is well under $100 and works well enough for small batches. If you’re looking to serve 6+ people, you may be better suited with something more heavy duty.
Of course you’ll also need the instant dole whip non-dairy mix to put in the mixer. This too can be found on Amazon or other online retailers, typically in 4.4lb bags of powder.
3 oz Plantation Barbados 5 Yr Rum
1 oz Orange Curacao
2 oz Pineapple Juice
8 oz Dole Whip Soft Serve
1/2 oz Creme de Noyeaux or Frangelico
2 Dash Warm Spice Bitters
Shake rum, curacao, bitters, ice and juice in shaker. Place a cup of dole whip in the bottom of a big glass. Strain cocktail into edges to minimize melting. Top with drizzle of red creme de noyeaux in center. Throw in a float of dark rum if you’re feelin’ it.
